Breast Cancer/Breast Reconstruction

  • My Broken Body: A Biblical View of Body Image When Your Body Fails You

Our culture tells us that our physical body defines our value. Scripture even speaks to the beauty of the feminine form. The Creator of all things designed our bodies, so of course there is value in their design, but we also know that God’s focus is on the inside, not the outside. Kim uses her personal experience with mastectomy and breast reconstruction and her knowledge of the God who created her femininity, to give the listener a picture of a healthy Biblical view of body image.

  • The Pain of Marriage: Fighting to Remain One When Life Pulls Us Apart

During cancer, Harms and her husband, Corey, grew more intimate by far than any time in their 17 years of marriage,  but were at the same time blindsided by a battle neither of them could have imagined prior to diagnosis. So as they fought the cancer together, they fought another battle from opposing sides.  She speaks of the fight to remain one when walking through high-stress life circumstances.
